SC Kansas

Place looks great and the deer seem to be putting on lots of antler for you as well. Looks like you are getting plenty of fruit growing as well.... I like how the sat pic shows just how much you have transformed the place.

Finally found a female persimmon, funny thing is it's one of two that I have found that wasn't a grafted or one that I planted. The other one is smaller and I don't know what sex it is yet but it's pretty small. This one is about 10ft tall and may get spaded and moved this fallpersimmion.jpg

Unicorn buck hasn't been around for a couple weeks but I imagine he went to a corn field and they will be cut in the next couple weeks so maybe he will be back.the big and 8 and the forked G2 but is still around, tried to upload pic of G2 buck but keep getting error, don't know why sometimes you can download a pic and sometimes you can't here 8pt-3.jpg

That's a nice female persimmon. I would be hesitant about trying to move one that big. They don't transplant well because of the taproot. I have only minimal success moving small ones that are only 3 or 4 feet tall.

PS: Great crop of nice deer too...

buck - check your file size or your physical picture size - those seem to be the only issues I have uploading pics, it's mostly file size in my case.

Great bucks and great find with the fruiting persimmons tree.

What do you think about moveing with a tree spade

I really don't know, because I have no experience with it. We moved some pretty big apple trees with a backhoe when the new road came through, but persimmon is not the same.

Sorry I can't give better advice on this. If you try it I hope you will send me a PM later on sometime and let me know how it works.

Best wishes.

Buck...you can set your trail cameras to take different size file pictures. A lot of trail cams will take up to a 14mb picture. I reset all of mine to the smallest offering they have and have no issues. It's not even 1mb...

I thought I had downloaded pics off all of mine here sometime or another and it just started.Works fine on habitat talk.Just wondered because I get the error almost every time I post but it still posts

Does anyone else have a Hewes crab? This is the only one I have and it's alittle more than loaded but didn't know if they get any biggerhewes crab.jpg and then the apple that broke several limbs this year apple tree.jpg

Not at this point in the season. For thinning to be productive growth wise you generally need to do it very early in the season. Thinning is always good if it prevents broken limbs.

Hey Buck, how has your morning been? I woke up to 1/8th inch of ice on everything and lightning in the background. Full fledged thunderstorm with sideways rain on the way into work. Supposed to freeze after it rains. Quite the morning! Nice to have some moisture though. How's it going over your way?

About the same here, but we got some thaw today during mid day so that will help when the next round comes through tonight.Be careful out there
