Brush, I pass a place where they make custom kennels every day on my way to work if you don't want to go the DIY route. Not sure what the cost would be, but I can get you their number if you are interested.

When a dog is named Rowdy - one has got to think he is always ready. ;)

I just loved getting to be with Rowdy - he is so lovable. If I closed my eyes - his behavior and affection are just like Scotty. Both are four months old.

I predict great things for his tracking future. I give Elkie great marks for not getting mad - 'cause Rowdy loves to play and wrestle. She would be just minding her own - Rowdy would get it started.

I love Rowdy - he is my kind of dog!

I pick up Heidi Monday night. The breeder was concerned about cold weather, so Heidi is 4 months old, and I'm told that she is beautiful.

Heidi's parents are German bred and are used to track moose for Canadian outfitters.

Atta boy Rowdy - don't let all those girls get ahead of you.

Be a great shot to have those three tracking dogs in a photo. I expect good things to come from Rowdy.

I am picking up 4 month old Heidi from Kansas City International at 9:30 PM. On Tuesday cement will be poured for the kennel. On Wednesday an 8 week old female Teckel will arrive from PA!!! This tracking season Elkie will have three helpers. :)

What is the pup from PA going to be called? Rowdy is going to see outnumbered & bossed by females.

Actually most dogs aren't treated as good as Rowdy is treated. My wife likes the fact he flew over the big ocean.

Big, big week at the Brushpile. Congrats to you Brady.

I hope you have a great fall tracking season. You going to need some deer blood now to lay all of those training tracks.

I am looking forward to some photos of these newcomers!

Thanks for sharing. Good luck getting the concrete installed.

Heidi got a first class hair cut before she traveled south. A fine looking pup and I like her blonde colored feet.

    Thanks for sharing.

Heidi didn't get a haircut. Heidi's parents require very little grooming.

Also, cement was poured today and looks good.

Glad to hear the concrete is poured and looks good. Weather cooperated too. Heidi coat looks great.

Hope she enjoys her new home and tracking crew.

When is the PA dog due in? Yep a big week on the Brushpile.

The Brushpile dog facility is nearing completion. This facility will allow the dogs to enjoy the outdoors and be safely kenneled while I'm away. Dachshunds need human companionship, and will normally sleep in the house.

There are two 16 foot cement runs.

The runs open into a large brushy play area
