Got the egg cranking to cook up a couple pizzas for lunch. Settled for just over 700 degrees and tossed them on. The egg heats up fast when wide open.

Turned out pretty good. Amazing how fast a pie cooks on the egg. Flavor is off the charts too. Getting the crust recipe dialed in. I love the giant air bubbles.

I’m still a rookie but the key is cornmeal on the bottom of the crust. Slides right on and off

I cooked pizza on my pellet grill a couple times my family said they had pizza at restaurants that wasn't as good.
Pizza stone
Boboli pizza crust
Pizza sauce
Cheese
Fresh cut onions green peppers
Mushrooms
Pepperoni
Ham
Bacon
Pre heat grill and pizza stone 400
Cook for 20-25 minutes
I used Hickory pellets

I've heard great things about pizza on the BGE and/or pellet grill. Guys tell me the frozen pizzas out of the grocery store are fantastic on he grill. I've yet to try it cause I'm always cooking something slow but one day...

You won’t regret it. Don’t forget to cook it on a pizza stone

I’ll be honest Trip C you made my decision to get the egg a tough one with all your pellet grill cooks haha. I was leaning pellet until my egghead buddy invited me over for a cookout. I love the thing and I can say we use it more than our oven.

I normally have that ceramic piece that your pizza is on upside down from what you show doing a slow cook (ribs, pulled port or brisket). Is it safe to flip it over and put the pizza on it? I'm guessing it's just burn silt from the lump.

I’ve upgraded since that picture. I got an adjustable rig from the ceramic grill store. I found the plate setter was too low. This will give me a little more height. They have a pretty sweet set up as a package deal.
