Oats, radish, clover

I planted some oats/radish and clover back in July as I knew rain was coming. It has filled in great!

Should I mow off the oats/radish to allow the clover to take off or just let it keep growing? It is about 10inchs high and deer are in it daily.

The clover has germinated and is growing? I'm surprised. If it has sprouted, what clover did you plant?

It was a blend of clovers I believe it was antler king clover mix. I had picked it up with a gift card at TSC. I don’t recall the exact clovers.

I did notice some clover growing below the oats and radish. I haven’t seen any chicory pop up yet.

There's your answer, deer are in it. Let it grow, they will finish it off and if not makes a great cover crop just like rye. Plus your combo prob has fast growing but single year clovers in it that will terminate with cold weather as the other more perennial clovers take hold. Need to give the latter a chance to escape browse for a little if you can so leave the oats, they will die out prob anyway this winter. Good luck.

Ok great. It was supposed to have a mix of perennials in it as well. I read seed tag but honestly forgot what it all had in it. Mostly white clovers I believe

I’ll leave it go for this year. I’m sure when farmers cut beans around me the browse will get even heavier.
