Love my Mucks...

Thought I'd share my favorite farm boot. I like them so much I bought all the kids n grand kids same boots for Christmas. They are the ankle height Muck boots. Same as the mid-calf height but much easier to slip on and off. I've got 3 pair of Muck boots I wear depending on temp and what I'm doing but for everyday wear, the minute I get to the farm, these go on my feet. Just slip you foot in and your good to go. The one's I gave for Christmas have a little heavier sole than mine and I think I would even like them better.

1st pic is the boots I wear. Even wear them while hunting. 2nd pic is what I gave the kids. Soles are a little more beefy. At any rate, if you're looking for an easy on / easy off boot that's waterproof and comfortable, you'd prolly like these.

I like my Mucks too. I have the non-insulated steel toe version that are about knee high. On my land, I like the extra height because I have to tromp through plenty of muck even in late Summer. The only downside is the sweat. If I'm out working hard I literally end up pouring sweat out of them at the end of the day and have to really focus on keeping my feet healthy if it's a multi-day thing.

I'm honestly considering just wearing jungle boots in the Summer and dealing with the mud and the muck. I do appreciate the steel toe after dropping a couple concrete blocks this year though.

I liked your Muck boot picture so much that I put those same boots on my Christmas list. Just wore them in the snow that we got.
Over the years I have been thru 2 pair of Mid Calf Chore, one pair of Edgewater Sports High, and I hunt in Woody Sport Cool Camo. Of all these I have thrown away only 1 pair of Mid Calf (they just wore out). My birthday request was for another pair of Mid Calf.
Love My Mucks too!

I agree...Muck's are the best. I've got three different pairs but I don't have the ones you are showing. I'll have to check them out. The best turkey hunting boots made that's for sure.

Milt...I know you'll like the ankle height Mucks cause we bout the same age and same build. Won't have to bend down to pull them on. Just slide your foot in and you're good to go! o_O

The mid calf chore work the same way. Put on your boots while holding your coffee!

I’ve got three pair, but not the ankle high style. Need those for my property in the summer. I can always find water to walk in somewhere, but the knee highs get hot in the summer.

I got a pair of the lightweight tingley shoe boots, somewhat similar to the muck boot, retail $40, but I can't recommend them, an uncomfortable pair of footwear, not scentproof either. Proves I got what I paid for. I think I'll try the muck boots.

For me, mucks are a good fishing, yard, and garden shoe. As far as wearing them in the woods and fields, the neoprene uppers have never lasted three months for me before I tear a hole in them. One pair lasted one hour.

Working on year number 9 with my Woody Max. Got 2 holes in them, yet to leak(the holes don't go all the way). Might buy a new pair this year just to say I've got a new pair.:D I get about 3 years out of a pair of the Wellie Classics.

I'm finished with Mucks, myself. They aren't the boots they once were, and aren't durable enough for my kind of hunting. I do see where they would make a nice garden shoe, etc.

Unfortunately I’m starting to agree. They are not durable anymore. I’m lucky to get 2 years out of a pair (I have warm weather and cold weather models). They’d probably be fine if you did nothing but hunt or lounge around camp in them, but any sort of work tends to wear them down quickly.

I started with mucks in late 90s I think. Still use all pair except one. Yes they take a beating with garden work but still wear good. One pair at farm one at home and they are my go to foot wear

Just got back from farm. Got there Friday afternoon. Slipped on farm pants and then Muck ankle boots. Wore them all weekend. No habitat work other than checking a few cameras. Had grandkids til last night and just puttered around the farm. Did manage to get in a good cook yesterday. Temps were in upper 50s to lower 60s. Fired up the Traeger and pulled off one of my favorite farm meals...Chicken thighs marinated in Italian dressing, baked taters, slaw, green beans, sliced maters and cornbread. Few pics from the weekend.

How'd you keep the pipes to that outside sink from freezing? Meal looks fantastic. Muck on, my friend!
