Those Brassicas look really great and you already have browse on them. Clear cut looks like it is regenerating nicely and congrats on your first bear picture. We got our first bear picture in 2008 and now we wish we had never had one :(

dang--you got some good growth on those radishes. Mine are about the size of my pinky---but they have only been in the ground for a couple of weeks. I should still have a good 6 weeks worth of growing before first frost--that is if we continue to get a little moisture.

place looks great--love the hinging

Just catching up on your thread. Man you have a lot of cover from the clear cut. I love old patriarch trees. That tree trunk looks massive. Would love to see a pic showing trunk and crown.
I'll take a picture of the top next time I'm there. I believe it's a cottonwood but maybe it's not.

You truly are living the dream Kansas! Have the family property up North along with the big buck farm in Jackson. Simply Awesome. I am very sorry to hear about your brother.... I lost one of my best friends in September in a Polaris Ranger incident. He's in the tree with me every time I'm out.

Where abouts in Jackson are you? Harvest anything this Fall? Some of those bucks are true MI bruisers on your farm.
What type of endless cover do you mean? Cover is key in MI IMO.

How high is the base of your platform from the ground? I'm curious because I'm thinking the same design for a couple stands this year. Also, how'd you rank the sturdiness?

Looks like you live in Brighton, I do also.

North Jackson county on the Ingham county line. Pleasant lake is about five miles from me.

Endless cover ? Most of the entire section is a low area with a creek that runs through it. This allows high grass, red dogwoods, sumac to thrive in the area. Cover is everywhere in the section, which IMO helps bucks mature/hide. I'll get more picks up in the next few weeks....

Nice looking plots this year Kansas, did I miss the harvest pictures?

G

No harvest pics this year. Worked a ton and only made it out bow hunting a few times. Didn't get my gun blinds in till mid October which hurt my chances on seeing a decent buck. Would love to have you walk my place with me, if you Make a trip back to Michigan in the future.....

The platform is 8 ft off the ground. I have each corner of the blind anchored into the ground with wire. I'm confident it shouldn't blow over.
