Here are a few of my favorites. Not great quality but good subject matter.

My fawns are disappearing by the day. Had several on camera two or three weeks ago. Pretty rare to get a pic of one now. Did see a newborn about the size of a swamp rabbit yesterday in my fenced in garden.

I know I'm a little late. My pics are from a month ago. I just happened to save the ones I liked.

I've gotten three times the fawn pics as last year. I do believe trapping yotes has been great for this year's crop. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

I would be ecstatic with that number of fawns around. When did you do your coyote trapping. And how long did it take for you to see them moving back in - if they have yet.

Johnny, are you seeing many coyotes or other predators?

We shot 3 after deer season late last year. I started trapping in March and trapped until May but didn't get anymore after the end of April. Being it was my first attempt with traps I'm sure I educated a few. We ended up with 6 in traps. I was seeing scat on the interior roads every time out, I've only seen scat once since trapping. I have noticed more on cams in the last couple weeks, so there moving in again but still less than before.

Have had a pair of coyotes on cam several times and at least 1 bobcat. Haven't had a hog picture in months and no bears up there yet...

I'm getting a pair of coyotes about once a week which indicates they aren't living close. It's interesting that I'm not getting them on the side of the farm that the does and fawns are living. Makes me think they may have already had a bad encounter with those aggressive does.

Anyone know what your normal fawn:doe ratio is on your ground? Over the past five years, mine has run from .3 fawns per doe to .6 fawns per doe. I use the Jacobsen method of camera survey - and I think those fawn numbers are actually a little above the true numbers - but the numbers do let me see the trends.
