Pretty good but frigid hunt this morning. The season ends tomorrow.

I don't know about S Carolina, but in Tennessee, we tend to kill more collared doves than mourning doves in the late season. Good hunt.

Good job. That would be a cold hunt around these parts too. Should make for some good eating. When my son was hunting with me regularly we always found a good December dove hunt around cattle feed troughs!
Either you had some help or a big limit in SC

Lots of help. 9 guns total I think, limit is 12. I shot terribly for most of the morning but collected 8.

This was a rewarding hunt for another reason - I planted the 10 acres of corn for the landowner (one of my best friends) back in April. Nice to see a successful hunt after lots of hard work.

One of the best dove shoots I ever had was in early January over a sorghum field I had planted for deer. Once the northern doves migrated in, holy cow.
