Kentucky Bull Elk Archery Success!

Congrats! Very nicely done! Would love to chase an elk with a bow, big bull elk that close would be an encounter of a lifetime...

Thanks! Where did he hunt? I think it rained every day but one the rest of the first archery season. Made the second week very tough and I was told it would be the best for the rut.
I'm not sure his exact locale. Im trying to find the pic I have, he killed a really nice one on a reclaim as you did in a thicket of AO which would drive Geo crazy. People dont realize how rugged that country is. Ive deer hunted our bow only counties and its as rough as any in the west especially getting them out. Your pics show that well. Again congrats and I hope one day to do the same here.

Gotcha. Autumn Olive was everywhere where I was hunting. The bears were absolutely destroying it to get the berries. Definitely no shortage of bears where we were. One morning we were driving in and a sow and cub ran right across the road in front of us shortly followed by two more cubs.

Lots of wildlife there.
