I have had for several years and it does ok getting seeds in the ground, the part it doesn't do very well is covering them up.Does anyone else have one or have the same problem.I usually end up dragging something to help cover seed

That’s what I’ve read, and the cultipacker looks marginal. I’d probably add a section of chain link fence behind it.

Do you like how it works on untilled ground ?

My hopes are to hit an area with gly, then no till in various seeds depending on the rotation. My spots are pretty rocky, so tilling, spreading, cultipacking is getting kinda old.

Thanks- Rusty.

I would say it is a min till instead of a no till.It tears up the ground pretty good instead of just cutting the ground because of the disc.I am trying to figure how to make something that will lift with the drill,if you don't have it set exactly right the chain comes off so you have to watch the shaft to see if it's turning

Off topic a little but my plots are either rocky and or not accessible by equipment. I’m on year two of plotting and have to rely on throw and mow. I seed heavy winter rye, oats and crimson clover now and tmw buckwheat in May. My plots won’t be on a magazine cover but it’s working so far

Thats all that counts, winter wheat is another crop that I would still do if I could only broadcast.I would broadcast into killed grass right before a rain.Heck it grows in the bed of my truck
