So, I've got a boatload of japanese millet growing on my place now. It's going to be a primary offering (like 30%) at my place, and larger than anything for this year. Has anyone ever seen deer eating more than just the seed head? Do they ever come back for the leaves or stalk? I don't have seed heads yet, but I imagine they'll pop out here in the next week or two. I planted July 17th and got it germinated right away.
Just the heads at my place and they waited on them to dry down. I mowed a couple of strips every 2-3 weeks for the turkeys to eat and the deer tended to like those too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
