is cleth the best there is

We got a 2.66" hard rain in 1 hour on Saturday. Previous to that the only rain we had was the 4th of July and it has been Hot/Hot/ Hot... Grass took off again immediately with that rain which is why I am pretty sure I did nothing when I sprayed.

I have had this jug of cleth for 2 years and it has never frozen while in my possession. I keep it in a climate controlled building. Ever since I have gotten it I have had super poor results with it. Last year I ended up spot spraying GLY through my clover plot after the Cleth failed then too...

I sprayed some clover with cleth and NIS a little over 2 weeks ago. That cleth has been frozen multiple times over the last 5-6 winters. The grasses are now starting to turn colors and fade away. A cleth kill is nothing like a glyphosate kill. There is no big "brown down". Earlier this summer I sprayed the same area with cleth. No results. The grass wasn't growing quickly enough due to it starting to go dormant, we were in the beginnings of a dry period then. It has taken quite a bit of rain and time for the grasses to resume active growth.

That may have been my problem. I always seem to spray this stuff in late July or August and that is for sure our dry season. I need to do something though because that rain we got Saturday kicked the grass into overdrive!

I may try to get it down after work today...It will be over 100 when I apply, hope that is not an issue...

Pretty sure the label says to not apply when its that hot.
Your grass will not be actively growing for long with that kind of heat anyway. I would personally wait until fall.

Well crud... I don't spray in the fall because this is where we hunt so looks like going to spot spray GLY again this weekend...
