Help with tree id

Will someone please confirm what type of tree this is. I have a ton of them but have never seen deer eating the ‘acorns’. Thanks in advance

Chestnut oak. Depending on your soil type, deer either love em or hate em.

Thanks! I’ve got them all over my farm. Would like to think they eat them but I sure see A LOT of them intact.

I have a few on my place. One of them was getting hammered in early September and was a huge reason I saw so many deer in that area. I found another one in that same trip maybe 1/2 mile away. The ground was covered with acorns and it certainly made me think that it wasn’t getting the same attention. It could have simply been dropping at a much higher rate.
