I planted it in a throw and mow mix last year and it did fairly well. My deer liked it.

I have some left from my experiment with buckwheat and sunn hemp this year. Dear hit both early and hard. Had tried buckwheat before for the pollinators but this was my first time with sunn hemp. Sunn hemp at local Ag shows gets big but in my mix the deer have kept ours from getting over thigh high. Planning on turning the buckwheat/ sunn hemp plot into a clover mix with chicory and a nurse of oats and wheat. That is if it ever stops raining in the Mid East. Try the sunn hemp if you have never.
