Free kitten to good home

I'm afraid I would have done the same to that cat as you did to that coyote.

That would get me a trip to the slammer. That is a tracking collar on that cat. They know every step he takes.

Couple of years ago I had a smaller one on camera. I talked to a friend of mine at F&W and he asked me to send the pic and also asked me where on my land the camera was placed. He said they had the cat's location at the exact same place and time as my camera showed.

This one is a big sucker. But, there is another one that lives here which is even bigger - he doesn't have a collar.

Looks like November 26 - Feb 28. So, if I deer hunt in our December muzzleloader season, I should be able to whack away.

Would make a good Christmas gift for the Wildcat fans in the family.:D

Our season is from Sept 1st to Feb 28th. Can take with archery or gun. I would have to pass also if the season wasn't in.

That's unreal as to the accuracy of the GPS collars.

They arent legal in IN yet, but i think that changes in 2017. 5 years ago seeing a bobcat was a rumor. Most every hunter at least has one on trail cam now.
A guy east of here killed one years back and the DNR met him at his house! Guess it had a chip or something.

I bet when they handed him the ticket they said, "Here's you sign....":D

What a great laugh I got from thinking of Geo trying to put his kiddie in the shoe box. Native Hunter your largest cat is a beautiful creature.

The stealth of the bob cat when they are stalking is special. Two years ago I saw two different cats about 4 times in bow season. The lease has many rock bluffs and plenty of cats. Our game cameras capture them all over that farm.

Geo you better get to training again. Cat-ing around might be difficult.

Wayne, we know that Geo is a tough guy from climbing those big mountains. If he also has 9 lives I think he might have a shot at getting the cat in the box. But he better not pussy foot around too much.

Cat's name is "F 27," and is a female. My place is near the north end of her range, and her core is about 1.5 miles south of me on a creek. She ranges North to South about 4.7 miles and East to West about 2.5 miles.

That's a good area for that cat to cover, I'm sure she has a pattern. Do you know how many days it takes to make that circle? Every cat trapper I know says it will normally take a week for a cat to make it's rounds of it's home range. So since season is open have you set any traps yet or do you need to borrow some?

I had better not trap their pet since they shared all that info with me... :D They might clam up on me for future inquiries..... I just need to get the other 2 or 3 that don't have collars.

I'm sure they have all that info about how long it takes to make a circle. What they gave me was a map with dots of all the places it was when they took a location reading. I didn't ask about how often they pinged it, but that would be good to know. I know it stays here a lot, because two or three days after that pic above I had another pic nearby.

It seemed to me that large, busy roads were somewhat a issue with it. It would cross the roads from time to time, but didn't make a habit of it.

Well Dang!! I wanted to see a full body mount next to Herman.:D The bad part about it is if anyone takes it they are going to know where and when it happens.

LOL, yep, and since I have the map now, I think I would be the number one suspect.

I did spend one evening over there watching after cat season came in, but all I saw was a bunch of stinking deer running around....:D
