I believe if you go into settings you can turn off ad pop ups. Not a 100% positive but if you can’t maybe that a feature you can add to the up and coming site. I enjoy this site so if you can improve it even better then that’s a bonus for all the members. Keep up the good work. Thank you.

The pop up problem is still there for me on both home computers, and I have the settings to block them on the highest level.

The only way I was able to post this message is with my phone. Even if I close the add on the computers it won’t allow me to get to the content.

Will all of this go away with the new forum, and how long are we talking about?

Thanks for any help with this.

I agree...even on my phone or iPad I cant get to the Deer Hunting portion if the add doesn’t pop up. The add has to show and then I have to report it to google. If the add fails to show I can’t get anything to open even refreshing the page. Once the add that is covering the content shows up I can report it, google will close it and I can then click a single topic. When that topic pops up I start over because the top couple lines are then covered with an add...it’s very inconvenient...

I just checked all 3 of my computers here at home. i normally do not use the other two for forums. All three are Apples, two Imacs and a Mac Book Pro laptop. I only run AddBlocker Plus on this computer and I have shut off Google tracking on it. I have no issues with any adds on any of my computers. I wonder if Apple does something different? As I mentioned before, I have never seen a add on this or any other forum.

Nope my apple laptop and my microsoft laptop both would allow intrusive ads. Uploaded the Adblocker on both and freedom is had. Takes couple minutes to download. So easy. Tapatalk has never been problem yet and I haven't agreed to pay any costs on it so far.

    1. We do our best to have good ads here. Other than than the most recent issues I think that it's been fine. If you block ads here we have no revenue - it costs about $75/month to run so it's pretty important that we get those views. We're doing about $60 in ads now. The $15 is no big deal.
    2. The forum upgrade will allow mobile upgrades. The big problem here is making sure the existing photos on the site convert over as well. It'll take me a few weeks to get things just right.
    3. You can check our baseball forum for how the site looks in mobile link (functionality - this place will look different of course)

^^^^^ I agree, and that is why I fought doing doing the adblocker and even tried to allow it to not restrict this site but they were blocking most content and access of at least third of page. Once update is done, I'll undo the blocker as I know it supports this free site. And as Ive said, I miss my Asian ladies for old men! Thanks again for your work Al.

My ad issue has has gone away without downloading an add blocker so you must have fixed the issue.

    Thanks Al.

Ditto. We appreciate your work in providing a street corner for our stumping. You have given us an Avenue to stay connected.

Well I know you need the ads to help pay costs. Hope they come close or actually make a profit.

    That baseball site looks good.

Will the pictures that I uploaded using Tapatalk go away or are those included in the ones you are trying to save?

Thanks for all you are doing to keep this forum up.

That’s a great question because if they do we are gonna have a forum with very few pictures once we switch over...be a lot of post that are all about the photo...with no photo...

In a way the idea of loosing all pics reminds me of how I felt when the QDMA forum shut down. Ewwww.

Which is why the transition is taking so long. He’s trying to figure out a way to save the pics.

I can tell you where they went to. TFF (The Firearms Forum). They showed up there shortly after they were shut down here. LOL, but I'm not kidding.

No ads covering content here as well. Big improvement as I felt it was reducing traffic to this site due to folks getting irritated with the ads covering content. Good job to all involved in keeping this forum up n running!
