Dwarf chinkapin oak

I took a few pics this evening behind the house, it’s been a month since my last update. I’m hoping the acorns are in schedule compared to those of you guys. FE72A077-033A-49C3-A08D-A61D4EFF1E3A.jpeg

You can see some very small underdeveloped acorns in the second picture.

Check out the acorns from two DCO's in my backyard at home. These two are growing within 5 feet of each other. Both were started from acorns Blitz sent me about 5 years ago. Maybe 6 years. Took these pictures today 8-9-20. First:

I’ll have to grab a pic soon, the inaugural acorns on our dcos behind the house have really put on some gains the last month. I’m a fan for dcos from wildlife group for sure!

Looked at mine last weekend, still tiny caps. The 4 second generation ones I planted still appear to be alive. Maybe they will help the pollination in a few years?

DCO's today. One of my trees, that produced for the first time this year, has already dropped all its acorns.

First two DCO seedlings grown from nuts collected from the tree in my yard. It’s nice being self sufficient and not having to depend on or buy your seed stock from anyone. Just grow your own!

Well my DCO is done for this year. I got five acorns and no telling how many the squirrels ended up with.
