Regardless of rain, which we began to have regularly after our year of exceptional drought , It was 4 years of recovery of habitat and some plots just now showing some normalcy but yet still sub par.

I was visiting a local farmer/rancher today and had to change the subject. He was visibly upset to the point of almost shedding tears when describing the current drought. He is in his 60s btw and said he’s never seen anything like this in his lifetime. The forecast makes my stomach hurt; if I was a rancher, I’d have an ulcer from this by now. :(

Sad to see all the complete cattle herds being sold off...we are gonna stick it out even though it is gonna cost us pretty big...

So tired of seeing Arkansas get rain after rain… they’re about to get another soaking.

You guys should have gotten some rain early this morning. It looks like the bulk of it will miss me if it kerps tracking W to E. I’m still hoping……

We got less than a tenth...
Must have gone between us...I watched it all around coffeeville traveling N of I44 and then it hit the southern 1/4 of our county and then got huge just past...we were in the area between and got just a couple of whispy showers...

SW AR - nice gentle rain - first drop since end of August. The Aug rain was only rain since Jun 11. I am going to finally start planting my plots.

Our muzzleloader season opens the 22nd and I figured if anything would help the drought it would be the possibility of wet powder...probably just drizzle most of the week and be hot and windy the rest

Don’t look now, but the forecast seems to jumping the chances up for the beginning of next week around here. We’ll see what happens.

That is not encouraging to hear, considering we are now 1 year and almost 5 months into this drought.:(
