daikon radish plant date

recently had a plot cleared and made bigger (wasn't expecting to get it done this year). Im in Southern Maine and have put some WR out due to all the trees being removed. The soil sample was 5.5 and was just gonna do some WR and oats. Think it's possible to get some daikon radishes going this week or is it too late. We finally have a good rain coming Saturday.

Would think a little late for Maine. I mean they’ll grow but probably won’t produce a tuber.

Seed is cheap and you’ll get some growth. I would throw it down.

I’d save the seed for next year. Won’t achieve much in food or soil amenities in your short window. Grain oats and clover do more for you thru next summer. Mines been in for 6 wks

We plant brassicas around Labor Day in South Carolina, so I would say you are about a month or two late for Maine. I’d save it for next year.
