Chopper Gen 2 vs Glyco around Planted Pines

I have always used Glyco, but now that I am spraying around some planted loblollies, I am wondering if I should switch to something that will not harm the pines in case I get too close with the sprayer on the edges of the plots. I came across Chopper Gen 2 (Imazapyr)....is that what I should be using?

Nevermind....upon further research, it appears Imazapyr leaves a residual/stays in the soil for a long time, and I would have a hard time getting anything to grow in a food plot other than maybe legumes, for a year or so.

I have noticed GLY doesn’t harm the short leaf pines that are growing in my trail system I use to access my property. I am glad because I like to keep them. I have sprayed directly over many of them...
