canada goose recipes

I've tried cooking them in the crockpot with potatoes and mushroom soup, they taste great in chili as well but looking for some new recipes to try this year. Whats everyone like to do with their geese?

I had a few summer sausages made from geese that were good, I personally like geese but no one else in the family does.

Let me fix that for you:
Cube them, marinate overnight, put a piece of jalopenio on them and wrap in bacon an grill. Throw out the goose. Eat the bacon.
Lol, sounds like our shad planking recipe, a tradition in va. Catch the shad, marinate overnight in milk, place fish on an oak plank and cook over open fire.
Throw the fish away, eat the oak plank and wash down with milk marinate. Will be better than eating the fish.....

I agree with fl plotter, Canadas aren't the best eating. How can meat be dry and greasy at the same time? I don't go hunting for Canadian geese because I only shoot things that we like to eat. If you have a good tasting recipe that's great, you can shoot and eat my geese too.

Lol, if it's dry you cooked it too long!

Shad? I use to be able to eat Vienna Sausages from the can while fishing with shad. That combo is a potent smell when taking a bite of something! Not anymore.

I plucked and roasted a goose whole once. Once.... Couldn't eat it. The veggies in the bottom of the tray were great though.

Probably over cooked.

Breasts and legs must be cooked very differently. No chance I’m roasting a whole bird so both can be screwed up.
