Bull Pen, Mandy Hollow and Cari's Corner

The place is looking great Lak. I’ve recovered from my Photobucket depression and finally made my way back. Hope all is well.

Welcome back man. How's the family? We need an update on that muddy road, off grid cabin, trees and soybeans.

Always good to catch up on the Bull Pen! Skyscraper looks awesome! You never mentioned anything bout being a civll engineer.

Some things are just beautiful in the Springtime. Love these blue hydrangea

So, it wasn't enough for me to deal with a couple of gardens each year, this go around I decided to root a whole bunch of hydrangea and possibly sell a few. Recently had 10yr old Jack spend a day with me, we pulled weeds from the pots, and Jack shot them all with a half cup of miracle gro. The plants are loving it. Lot of BLUE (or PINK) in the future.

And the gardens are coming along fine, even with little rain this spring.

lak...If I was fishing near you dock bout the middle of July, I'd bring along a loaf of Colonial old-fashion bread, some Dukes mayo, salt n pepper. I'd then hope to catch you on the dock and ask for one of those maters and make me one heck of a mater sammich. Garden looks fantastic! Just curious on the white clover - Do you use it for weed suppression in your garden?

I'd already fryed up squash and wright's bacon if I lived in the real south Lak. Us tweeners have to wait.

Thank you sir. The family is great. Karen and the girls are closing in on another summer vacation, lucky teacher & students! Alli turned 16 and I’m giving driving lessons. She’s doing great, lots of practice on the side by side over the years probably helped. Alaina is 13 now. Time is flying, trying to slow it down. Hope all is well with your crew. Garden looks fantastic!

The clover covers the adjacent pasture and comes up every year in the garden area. Normally mowed but this year I just let it go because it will drown anything else.
That sandwich sounds inviting!

Yesterday we had fresh beans and fried squash from garden. Want me to mail you some?
Lol! Thanks for the offer, but I suppose I'll wait on my tiny plants. This has been a late spring for me, I still have azalea and dogwood blooms and it's the middle of May!

And the green thumb award goes to Lak with no real competition out there even close. I bet there are ship wrecks on that lake from people gawking (southern term for you yanks) at that garden of eden. Cool stuff.

I 2nd that motion on the G-T award! I'm so jelly because I'm still in the land clearing stages...but I'm lining up the lime after the burn piles are gone. One day, Lake...one day...I too will have a green garden!
