Browning Cam

Newer brownings work better than the older ones. The older ones had a tendency to power down (like they were were loosing contact with the batteries). I’ve not found lithium’s make a difference with photos. I do seem to get better performance when on video mode (which I use primarily for perimeter security) with lithiums. Also, I’ve found is my plot watcher won’t function reliably without lithiums.

The 2015 had some weird quirks. They would give an SD card error, and have SD card issues in general. The 2016 Strike Force is one of the best cameras ever manufactured by any maker, and I've owned dozens of different cams. I bought every one I could at a Cabelas sale for $70, since then I haven't had a need to buy another camera, so I can't give any advice on the newer ones.

I even checked today to see if it needed a firmware upgrade and it didn't.I had read where there was an issue with the battery tray and browning even sent out new ones but it didn't help.I changed batteries today in them today as they seem to usually start failing more often when batteries get below 60%.

Worked fine last week but was at 50% battery so I put new batteries in and it shows 99% and empty file again,I will call browing one more time and if they don't replace out they go and I buy another moultrie

I am extremely happy with my Strike Force cams. I had their lowest tier cam, and it was good on video, but nothing else. That said, I haven't owned anything newer than the 2016 Strike Force Elite. I have about 15 of them, and they are bullet proof.

I have found my Brownings to be reliable, but they won't work with the Buckmark SD cards that they came with! I can use the Browning SD cards in my Bushnells and Moultries though.... Kinda weird because you would think an SD is an SD and surely a Browning cam would work with a Browning SD card, especially when they came together in the same package. One of my Brownings will go to about 50% battery about a week after battery change while the others discharge a lot slower.

Definitely found Ray O Vac batteries to be junk. Not sold on lithiums either. Duracells have been iffy but Energizers are pretty reliable.

Just my experience.

Interesting, in my experiences, Energizers were the worst. Cuddeback says Rayovac are best in their testing.
