Brassica issue

I planted these brassicas on July 13th, and I noticed today they have holes in them. This is a first year plot which was soil tested and fertilized accordingly. Does anyone know what the cause is?

Insect damage was my first thought but I couldn't find any insects......seems like that's a good thing.
Thanks Doc.

Looks similar to what I fight on my apple tree leaves. Look for tiny black caterpillars (less than a 1/4 long) on the underside of the leaves. I agree it won't be a problem on your fast growing brassica, but Triazicide knocks them back for a while on my apples.

I get that most years on my turnips but not rapeseed. Especially when young - the turnips generally grow on past, and then it gets cool enough and I don't see it much more.
