Bow snobs

View attachment 6069 Show this to your Mathews buddies. Didn't fact check it but it was on Facebook so I figure it's true.

We have one like that near me, If you don't have a $2000. SETUP they really don't want to talk to you. But rest assured not all shooters/bowhunters are like that! good luck.

I don't think anyone should worry about what anyone else says. Shoot what you like and can afford. Almost any bow can be tuned good enough to ethically kill deer. Which in the whole skeem of things isn't that all that matters. Haters gonna hate, you know what I always say.....well I can't say it on here but I am sure you can use your imagination and figure it out. Just shoot what you like and have fun doing it.

I went to the ATA in January for a magazine/media assignment. I shot every new bow out there. Surprisingly, the Xpedition Xcursion 6 was my favorite. But I don't want to spend a grand on a new bow. I'll stay with my old PSE and home made stick bows.

If one can shoot an animal with a bow and have a clean humane kill, then the bow they use is what is best for them. I have seen the results of those that open their yaps about how great their bow is, only to have to track the animal down and finish the job they should never have started. As long as the hunter dose his job, and has respect for the game they hunt, the bow they use is nothing but a tool.

There are fanboys out there for every brand; it's an effect that really good marketing has on a lot of dumb people. If they're told what they have is the best, and they spend a lot of money on it, it's definitely THE best and why would you buy anything else.

I see the same sort of unwavering support from the Stihl guys or the John Deere tools. They probably overpaid for a brand name product, and they also bought a hat or T-shirt, so in order to justify their waste of money, they have to devalue every other brand to puff themselves up to help them feel better about their lives.

Bows and guns are like individual woman, if she is smoking hot to you who am I to say otherwise. I like mine natural, curvy, intelligent and required to be a great mother to my kids also with a good deal better then average looks. Bonus points if she is willing to let me enjoy my hobbies that I'm passionate about. Luckily, I have that and much more so in my eyes she's a 10, all day. Enjoy what you like and don't worry about the rest. Some people just enjoy stirring the pot rather it's cars, bows or whatever.

They are just brand loyal fan boys---when they switch brands they jump on that band wagon. SAD. Many times the arrogant ass is the owner of the shop(never see more than a couple people there at one time).

Think brand snobbery is bad? Just you all wait. I broke my neck almost 20 years ago. Then two years ago I woke up one morning with a pinched nerve in my neck and weakness in my right arm. Well it was bad enough I couldn't draw a bow and had to get a crossbow. Talk about snobishness when you kill a nice deer with a crossbow. At the moment I think I have recovered well enough that I will be able to bow hunt this year.

My first bow was a Bear Whitetail Hunter. I have owned 2 different PSE bows and started shooting Mathews 13 years ago and I will always shoot Mathews because it is whats right for me. I really could care less what anyone else shoots as long as it is legal and ethical in taking game. I sold my 60/70# Mathews outback 2 years ago due to unable to pull that much weight anymore and downsized to the 50/60# Mathews Creed XS. Keep in Mind haters are always gonna hate.

Bows are like women. Some like redheads, some like blondes, some like brunettes. My uncle sells all the bows mentioned above and thus could hunt with anyone he wanted. He shoots a PSE. When a customer comes in looking for a new bow he starts with PSE and moves from there. It's personal preference.
what's a funny comparison lol

Bought a pse in 78', killed 34 deer with it, still have it. Still shoot pse but many great bows mfg. you see the same snobbery flyfishing, trucks, golf clubs, beer, bbqs, blah, blah. Lifes too short. Move on, u will find tools in every endeaver.
