Making some beer can chicken.....who else has done this? What type of seasoning did you use?
I did Beer Can Chicken in my smokers, on my Gill, and in the Oven. Most of the time I used Black Pepper, Sea Salt, Garlic, Onion Powder, and Paprika. Sometimes I used other things, depending what's on my spice shelf.
I started Spatchcocking Chicken instead. I use the same spices, and the Chicken taste the same as Beer Can Chicken, EXCEPT... The Chicken cooks more evenly and faster when it is Butterflied...
I just started doing spatchcock chickens myself, and you are correct.
