Native is on a roll today. What was that deer's name? Hightower. Skyscraper.

Wayne, I promise to stop now - unless provoked of course.....:D

That deer was named "Abby Normal." I got that name from the movie of "Young Frankenstein" when he asked Igor the name of the brain he brought to put in the monster. That deer lived on my place and we actually wanted him because of how unusual he was, but apparently he got killed somewhere else.

However, we weren't too disappointed, because we got this 157 inch 12 point instead that year. We were aware of him but Abby Normal had him pushed off our place and he bedded on the neighbor. But one of our does led him in like he was on a rope. My trail camera history told me he was 5.5 years old and Abby was the same ago.

You been in the weekend shine son. You should go on tour with that comedy. Love it. About being provoked....how bout them coyotes??! Just raggin you !
As for the OPs question, no doubt especially with large clearcuts, the growth can be so thick with MFR and other briars, that man nor beast can pass. I don't find bucks too accustomed here to passing thur narrow cut lanes probable in part from decent numbers of various predators including man. Poor escape ablilties.

Just talked with my trapper two days ago. He is headed for my place in the next few days.

We all know that coyotes only hunt little mice and rodents. Unfortunately my mice are evolving and getting tougher due to my tall NWSGs, and now the yotes have to run in packs of 5 like wolves do in order to take down a single NWSG Mouse. Trapper should have some fun this year!!!

Native, that mounted deer, was his name Wun Hung Lo ?

And how do you know that one eye in back is a yote ? Could be a rogue mouse chasing the yotes out of his territory !o_O

Nope, his name was Rudolph, because before we killed him we had never had a pic of him before December!! Santa may think I've been a bad boy....;)

I don't have a comeback on that rogue mouse. You got me fair and square on that one!!
