Beaver deceiver

If you have an issue with beaver clogging a pipe overflow or even with pipes clogging naturally with sticks and stuff this is the way to go. get some black plastic pipe and make some circles, then attach wire fencing to it as shown. stick the one end in the pipe and extend the other end supported out in the water 8 to 10 ft. the way it works is the beavers (or sticks and debris) cant clog the underside so you will always have flowing water. never had a clog since doing this

I am having major issues with beavers stopping a pipe that goes under the dam of my pond.
So I built the wire hoop a little smaller than the diameter of the present dam pipe and stick one end in the pipe and let the remainder stick out in the pond? Do you position so about half the hoop is under water?
I am really thinking about giving this a try.

Depends on the water level, sometimes it half in the water sometimes covered with water. The main objective is to get the pipe as far into the pond as feasible (10 to 12 ft) and make sure the bottom of the deceiver is not on the bottom of the pond, it has to be "floating" but secured. The beaver cant stop up the bottom of the deceiver as long as its suspended in the water
