My neighbor got this trail pic of a small black bear and for the life of us we cannot figure out what is going on.
He thinks the bear laid on some animal carcass and it has gotten stuck in the bears coat. He thinks he even sees an animals head on the bears back. I asked him if he started cocktail hour early today.
I have two thoughts. One is that it is a diseased bear as you can see what appears to be some type of growth near its neck. My second thought is a crazy one, that it absorbed its twin while in the womb and the twin fused with this bear.
Another buddy thinks we both were drinking and that it was either hit by a vehicle or was attacked perhaps by another bear and suffered horrific damage and what we are seeing is scar tissue etc.
