Any non residence hunt in Kansas?

I would have the opportunity to hunt in Kansas this fall for the first time. I will have to call the Kansas license center but it looks like we can only get our non residence license through lottery in the spring. Did I miss it for this fall or can we get it online any time of the year?
Thanks for any information you can give me.

There has been some confusion on KS regs for a while. I think you have to apply by late April but I'm not 100% sure, and there is something about having to have a hunting license or not... I think your best bet at finding out for sure is to tall Pratt and tell them your situation.

The cutoff to apply for particular unit is in late April. Then in late May or June whatever they have left over goes up for grabs on a first come first serve basis. Unless you are a resident or have acquired numerous "preference points" you can pretty much kiss getting a gun permit goodbye (really depends on the unit). Archery isn't really a problem to get. You can check and see if they have any leftover tags available for the area you want to hunt. But don't get your hopes up
