All day sucker.....

image.jpeg image.jpeg l usually put out several mineral blocks for deer every winter in January or February. On one property I hunt, the hogs just take them over. They wallow on them, scratch their butts on them, lay down and sleep next to them, etc. This kinda repulses the dainty deer and they quit using them. So.....I came up with the all day sucker. Took a T post, welded a length of rebar on top, drilled a hole in the block, and set it on the T post. Voila ! Hog proof ! Except it ain't. The deer are using them more, and at least the hogs can't wallow on them, but it seems they both are eating the dirt underneath the post more than anything. At least I'm getting a few pics.

Good deal. Glad I don't have those hogs, but they have been seen only two counties away. Lots of open land between me and that place, so hopefully they won't make it to me.

My buddy says there's two kinds of people, them that have hogs, and them that's gonna have them. That's true here, but I hope for your sake, it's not true everywhere. They are a royal pain in the butt !
