A couple of deer from this past season - son and grandson

Now that is a great season with two good deer. Are those taken from your area?
Chainsaw
Yes, they were both taken off of my farm.
The bigger one was 4 1/2. I was thinking a little older but a friend checked the jawbone and verified it.
My grandson got his fairly late in the season. He had been passing up a few and his dad gave him the green light on this one.
It was his second deer. One last year and this one.
He was so excited but me even more .
Worm

To add to the above ^^^
The bigger one was rutting big time.
I always keep a few cameras out during the summer and fall. We never had him on camera.
It seems like every year , we see a buck or two that show up during the season that we have never set eyes on .

The 4 1/2 year old sure does have spectacular mass; I too had guessed him older not that 4 1/2 isn't very old already. Congratulations on the deer your farm is producing. That is some great deer hunting.

Great season Worm. I was going to ask the age of the largest one but see you said 4 1/2. His mass is something else.

Worm...Congrats on 2 fine bucks! Like others said...the mass is something special on the 4.5 yr old.

Thanks Native and Triple C
That deer had more mass than any deer we have ever seen or taken around here. Not even close. We occasionally take bigger deer but none with as much character. I would have sworn that he was older than 4.

He may be older than 4.5 since jawbone aging isn't an exact science. No matter, they're both nice bucks regardless of exact age. Congrats to the hunters !
