6 Year Old Fruit Trees

Are 5 and 6 year old apple and pear trees that are losing leaves dying, or just going dormant early? This is due to drought, not disease.

If the trees were healthy before the drought, I think they will come back okay. It's not unusual for some apple trees to lose a lot of leaves in times like you are experiencing. They may not show a lot of improvement this year, but they should bounce back next spring.

Yeah, it’s a little misleading, there is a little green around, that one inch rain woke the grass a little, but it didn’t seem to do much for the trees.

I am ordering a bunch more fruit trees if anyone in Kansas or northern okla wants to save some shipping theres roomin my boxes
