No hunting yesterday and so far today. Wind will not cooperate. Tomorrow looks to be a cold, wet, nasty, windy day and tomorrow night looks to be extremely windy and in the teens but the wind direction is right. Tuesday starts cold and warms up to low 30’s but looks doable and the wind is right. Tomorrow I will sit while I can stand it and Tuesday looks like another all day sit day.

We started rifle hunting yesterday morning. Three sits now and it has been an endless parade of does, fawns and young bucks. Yesterday morning we did pass a respectable 8 point but felt he needed another year.

We have hunted both the new property and the old property. At the new property deer have made a scrape 35 yards in front of the new blind. We watched 2 young buck work it Saturday morning. Funny thing is that we have to walk right by it to get to the blind.

Loving the hunting so far but getting ready to get bitter cold in the next few days. Best wishes all....

That bitter cold is what we need and with those shooting condos you have it should be just like hunting from your house lol. 72 degrees here with a S wind which really sucks on our place so I am sitting a “wind is almost wrong” stand on the west side of the south plot. It’s as low impact as I have other than the stand in my backyard next to our house...only problem is I have never seen either of the 2 bucks I would shoot right now across the county road where our backyard is...I did get a picture of our largest within 80 yards of where I am though ;) Bowhunting only for the next 2 weeks before rifle season begins on the 23rd at the very tail end of the rut...

I think I picked the wrong stand for an evening hunt. Usually only sit in this one when it rains cause it's got a roof. There is a 50 acre clear cut in front of me. It's better when the sun is behind the trees

Yes the cold snap should be good. Can’t believe it but guy across creek at new place started combining beans this afternoon. Does we are seeing not bothered by it but no buck sightings yet this evening.

If the right doe comes through it won’t matter..at least that is what I am telling myself sitting near this plot...
