    Box Blind Elevators

I like the Elevators from HD. Both of these are 6x8' nominal and are approximately 10' in the air. I made them in my shop, then transported them to the site with a tractor and forks, then lifted and emplaced the vertical and cross members.

Fire Pit/ Outdoor Cooking Grate Ideas

My version: In this pic, you can see the grate fits over the pit nicely: I made the grate, the cast iron cookware tripod and the fire pit.

    Meat Pole

Two 6x6x16' buried and concreted about 3' into the ground; ~10' apart. The cross beam is three 2x10 treated, glued and screwed together. I don't know what it will hold but I've a +250 lb lead, steel and concrete wheel weight hanging off of it once. I've done a bunch of deer on it.

Alternate materials for insideshooting house walls?

Opposite end of I-65 from you. It's been pretty quiet here with a near full moon plus it's unseasonably warm, around 65-70 degrees during the day. I did get busted by a 10 point a couple days ago; he saw me silhouetted against the window and took off! :( Thanks!

Alternate materials for insideshooting house walls?

We moved it to it's final resting place this Saturday (yesterday). My neighbor and his M8560 tractor taking it down my hill. The final resting place is behind the tractor and about 50' behind the concrete shooting table. First phase completed at the bottom of the hill! One of the project...

Alternate materials for insideshooting house walls?

Went ahead and bit the bullet: 8 sheets at $14.25 each - ouch! I also got two pallets of that plastic material, one black and one blue, both arer 1/4" thick material. I'll use that for the ceiling material, beats lifting that heavy plywood/OSB board. Once the inside is done, I'll paint the...

Alternate materials for insideshooting house walls?

With two hurricanes back to back, OSB prices are now north of $14 each. So I'm looking for alternative materials that won't break the bank to line the inside walls of 6x7 shooting house. I was planning on using OSB (chip board) but don't want to spend all that money - if I don't have to...

Easy way to move 3 point equipment and trailers.

I can't quite make it out: L3830 L4330? L4830? I've got the L4330. Yea, you can have it after you pry it from my cold dead hands! Did the same mod to my FEL as well.

    Remotely Activated Feral Hog Trap

If you don't carry a gun when you go down to the trap, how do you get the hogs out? Do the hogs have to be delivered live to the distributor? Thanks and great videos!

What are some of the best ways to get permission to hunt a property?

I can't tell you best way, but I sure as heck can tell you the worst way: Trespass on my property without asking. Then don't apologize for +6 months. Promise you'll never do it again. Then do it again next deer season. Then leave deer bait behind, plus leave the box you carried the bait in...

Hi-Rise deer blinds: anchors or elevators for stability against wind?

For you guys that put your deer blind/deer shooting houses up high, how do you prevent high winds from blowing your deer blind over? I plan to upgrade my"Taj Mahal" this summer from an elevated soft side pop up blind to an even higher hard sided blind. I plan to elevate it with my tractor and...

    Box blind build

Your M7040 loader at 67 hp has almost the exact same load at full height as my L4330 at 40 hp, just over 2300 lbs. Thanks for the answer on those brackets! Thanks,

    Box blind build

You should have a very heavy counterweight on the 3ph as well as having your rear tires filled with liquid. I have my Kubota L4330 tires filled, concrete, lead and steel rear wheel weights (500 lbs total) and I added a 510 lbs weight block to the rear of my 675 lb box blade.

Nice pics! And nice shooting house! How big a tractor did you have to lift it up in the air? Where did you buy those brackets and how much did they cost? Thanks for posting!
