    Persimmon seed

    Have some American Persimmon trees along my one field and noticed some fruit still hanging today. Picked a couple low hanging one's and cleaned the seed. Was wondering since they have been on the tree in the cold weather will they be stratified and do you think they will sprout this spring?

    So, if I'm reading the labels correctly, spray when the corn is between 4-8" tall if you don't have drop nozzles. If the corn is around 6" or so, I can use the sprayer on my 4 wheeler and not hurt the corn.

    Thanks for the info. Conventional corn is about half the price of roundup ready. If the price of weed control isn't much more than using roundup, might try the conventional corn. Broadleaf weeds seem to be my problem, is there a certain stage of growing that you can't spray 2,4-D?

    Chill Hours

    Thanks for the help. I was wondering about frost due to early blooming. We had a frost/freeze in late May this year. Hit most of my trees. My Uncle has a bartlet pear in his front yard and it must be 30+ years old. Maybe I will get lucky and not get the fire blight. Glad I found you guys.
