111 acres in South Central KY "The Ridge"

Some health issues have slowed me down this summer but still managed to get quite a bit done. Finished up my big 4 acre destination plot, got the rest of the banks blinds in place, cut some access trails to stand sites and fired up the chainsaw and did some blocking. Still gotta hang some stands...

MSU Deer Lab podcast: Mineral Stumps for Deer

While I've always known they would hammer stump sprouts, I never really noticed how much more attractive to deer a stump sprout was vs. a sapling of the same species. That is what was eye opening. That and how much more nutrition is jammed into those sprouts.

MSU Deer Lab podcast: Mineral Stumps for Deer

The first thing that popped in to my mind when I saw the video is trail cam opportunities in states with bans on feeding. 5 or 6 trees congregated in a small area should become extremely attractive.

I may go ahead and order the basagran mow it next week and give it another week to see what happens. If it still isnt dead I'll mix this cocktail and se what happens. Thanks. Guess I need to download...

    Spartan GoCam ( Verizon)

All mine are att. Now they have a 12 month plan so I just opt for it and keep them going all year. I enjoy the cell cams so much, no more than it cost I want them going all the time.

    Trail Cameras poll questions:

I manage about 1500 acres scattered out over 4 properties. I own about 40 cameras, 9 of which are cellular and send the pics to my phone. I run those 9 all year long. I run another 10-15 during spring turkey season. I start ramping up in July with all my cameras. I usually do a trail can survey...

    Herbicide basics for food plots

I sprayed it for the first time on my clover 9 days ago to try and control yellow nutsedge. I can't tell it had any effect. Gonna mow it again this coming week, give it another week to see, and then hit it with basagran. I had already taken care of most of the grass with clethodim. Sedges are a PIA!

    Problem weeds in clover...

Is there anything I can spray to control serecea lespedeza in clover? I sprayed earlier with butyrac and it didn't touch it. Also have a problem with yellow nutsedge. I tried raptor with little to no affect (9 days after it doesn't look like it had any effect). How effective is basagran? I think...
