    Octagon blind builds!

No angle to the roof, flat roof buddy. No leaks. I used treated plywood covered in tarpaper then covered in tin. The stands not perfectly level so it does shed the rain off some Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Shaded Trail Thru Woods - What to Plant

I also plant a mix of red & white clovers with oats and chicory and they do great with mild atv/tractor traffic. Mow them 1 or twice a year and they look great plus the doe’s & fawns like grazing on them. Our land was select cut before we bought it 6 or 8 years ago. Sent from my iPhone using...

We have concrete now in our living quarters! They did the pour in two sections so from the pictures it looks like one half of the floor hasn't gotten the 2nd & 3rd colors added to it yet. I haven't been up to see it in person yet the concrete contractor sent these to me on Thursday...

    Northwest corner plot

Worked these last few weekends clearing a new plot on the northwest corner or our land next to a new 8x8' fence line stand we built last year. Here's what Iv got done so far. Now some of the after pics this plot should be twice the size maybe 3 times the size of what's shown. Broke the valve...

    Building, shop, barn? Ideas?

Those brackets are fine and are engineered. That builder is noting wanting to do the extra work to install the brackets. Plenty of buildings use this method all over the country. Wood in he ground is junk Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Building, shop, barn? Ideas?

Pour the concrete slab with a thickened edge and then look at the sturdy wall brackets that perma column makes. This would solve a few problems. No digging deeper than a foot or so and also there is no wood in the ground to rot away! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Skunkwerks barndominium build

The wall with Sheetrock is the wall dividing the shop from the living quarters, it's rocked with 5/8 fire rock then on the back side is 1.5in r7.5 insulation. The outside walls of the barn are metal then tyvek then 1.5 foam insulation and yes then r30 rolls over that. The ceiling will be tongue...

    Sharpening chainsaw chains

I only use round file with guide, after taking my chains in for years and having to wait and getting them back with 1/4 the tooth ground off I learned how to do my own. I hate grinders they eat to much metal and I can have mine sharpened before some one can setup a grinder! Sent from my iPhone...

    Skunkwerks barndominium build

Few reasons I didn't. One the cost. Another one was that I was able to install the foam flush with the girts and have some insulation then have electrical work done then do R30 rolls over the foam for a total of R37.5 in the walls. Also I didn't like the fact of having the spray foam on he...

    Posting no-trespassing signs

We had bought our land 5 years ago and had problems the day after we signed the paperwork, our only neighbor who happens to be a lawyer had been hunting the land we bought for many years without permission and having absent land owners the last 25 years. Guy insisted we let him use our logging...
