I thought my season was over with my buck that I posted, but I got a call on the MLK holiday that a friend had a deer down and needed some help. By the time I made the one hour drive, he had called a dog team, so we waited. Here is the story in video!:

Friday afternoon hunt. 15 minutes in the stand and at 215 a 4.5 y/o 6pt comes thru. Pass. Feeders go off at 330....NOTHING. Spike comes out after 4 pm and eats all corn. Never saw a doe. Nothing came to 2nd feeder in another plot I can see. Sunset at 505 and right about that time, spike is...

On Nov 2nd, we put in our last food plots. We captured the day with video and show how we plant rye/wheat/oats and then cultipack in our clover and chicory. We didn't have any rain for 4 weeks but they came up great and I just fertilized them yesterday...but that's a different video...

We just published our video from Nov 1st when we took two days off of work to put in our food plots. In this video, we put in just over 2 acres of plots (4 different plots). We planted rye, wheat, oats, clover and chicory and although they could use some rain (dry November) they look awesome...

I sprayed about 5 acres of food plots with my trusty 2006 Suzuki ATV to get them ready for fall planting down here in sunny Florida! This completes step 2.....next step is spreading seed and tilling it in. Got a cool video of an 8pt buck scraping last season at the end of the video. Good...

Well boys, it's been a wet, wet, wet year in North West Florida. It's either the wettest year on record or the 2nd wettest year. We haven't been able to keep our plots mowed and it's just now dry enough to get in them and start working them. Got ourselves in a bit of jam last week spreading...

Late start, boys. Too dry, too wet, and now HOT (95 yesterday), but they in. 2.5 acre main field. 1 acre satellite plot. And 3 acres of mowing. 14 hours door to door (1 hr tow). Got some rain coming next week, so the only question is can they handle the browse. Best year of clover...
