    2016 ACCF American Chestnut

A little update. Both trees still very healthy and finally had a bur in the larger. Didn't see blooms on either this past spring though. I'm guessing close to 40' on the biggest and 15 to 18 on its sister. I'll come back and cut out the competition sometime before spring. Sent from my...

    Hawggardville

Chucks making splits today. Only lost 1 hive over winter, the rest look very strong. I've the easier task grafting apple trees. We've also been clearing up another old pasture to use as a new bee yard. It has a year round creek so no water issues. Threw in a picture of the hillside daffodils...

I should add this is the tree I made a side graft on with a crab rootstock after it was almost completely girdled. The b118 is directly under the tree. Sent from my SM-G960U1 using Tapatalk

She is standing again. I'll swap out the ratchet straps for wire cable next week. Going to run that through old water hose where it meets the tree. Pics don't show, but we spread a 5055 bucket full of dirt around it too. I'll build more bluebird houses for the posts this winter making them...

Wished I'd read this a tad closer. I had mine tied down with a little added dirt, but not a foot. A storm last week wrecked havoc on my b118 trees. I believe I can save them using your method of more dirt. I've stood up and tied down all but this one. I'll need one of my helpers for it. Sent...

Striped June Apple - right on time

My Summer Champion is still a few years away, but I did pick Arkcharm apples last week. Decent for a July apple. I've heard they don't store long so I've been eating my fill.[emoji28] Sent from my SM-G960U1 using Tapatalk
