Pruned a crazy growing pear today

I planted this Orient Pear in spring of ‘15. It was a burlap wrapped bare root that I purchased from a local farm store. Last year this tree went absolutely nuts with all the new woody growth. Did some major pruning on it. I will be curious to see what it does this year. Sent from my iPhone...

    My Frankenstein tree..

Members from the QDMA forum may remember my Frankenstein tree. It was originally a Gala apple that I got cheap and planted in my back yard. I ended up grafting a couple Golden delicious scions to it and also an Arkansas Black scion. It flowered for the first time spring '15 and I lost all...

    Muzzle Velocity question..

Ok guys, I am not a rifle guru and I don't have a way of measuring muzzle velocity with my AR. My AR has a 16" barrel with a 1:9 twist. I am shooting the Hornady 55gr SP bullet. Shoots great out of my gun. It advertises a muzzle velocity of 3240. It is my understanding that the speed is...

I have it sighted in on paper with just some cheap .223 fmj loads that came with the gun. It came with about 2000 loads of ammo...

    Oops....

http://www.outdoorhub.com/news/2016/12/02/michigan-hunter-facing-huge-fines-mistaking-elk-whitetail/ Now that is one huge whitetail! That would have to be one very inexperienced hunter. He even went to check it in so it had to be an honest mistake. However, mistakes in game laws still hold fines.

    HELP....

So my daughter shot her buck with my Tikka 25-06. We are shooting some handloads that a friend made up for me. I have shot a good box through them with no problems but when she shot the buck and through all the excitement I told her to chamber another round. Well when she tried she lifted the...

    wbpdeer---AC Question???

Brush was kind enough to send me a few AC's. Do you treat these just like chestnuts? I assume they need a cold stratification period? Are they as susceptible to mold as chestnuts. Just curious what I need to do. I put them in a baggie with a little potting soil with just a touch of...
