Have any of you hunted out of one of these? How did you like it?

I am looking for a good durable 2 man ladderstand. the price on these would be hard to swallow though they look well made. Looks like would be over 4k after shipping and everything needed to set up.
the cheap stands of 15 years ago were better made than the expensive ones of today It seems. Not interested in a blind.

I just ordered a rivers edge, so we'll see how that goes.

That would be a no from me. Look nice, not paying the price. Can buy a bunch of $200 two man stands for that.

Cancel the Rivers edge and go buy 2 for the same price Field and Stream for 150 each at Dicks. Better stand , more stable , quieter, lighter and easier put up. I have both, only advantage of RE is the shooting rail is slightly more stable. Otherwise, not worth the money my opinion.

I agree the stands from Dicks were good,I just won't buy anything from DIcks

Me either. I just noticed the Sportsmans Guide had a post season sale on a couple of ladder stands. One conventional two man, and the other a one man with a swivel seat. Pretty good prices and I’ve never had problems dealing with them.

Mines a few years old but yes looks similar. They have changed that the stand contacts tree in upper and lower section of platform which def would increase stability. Mine only contacts at seat position then expects a couple straps to maintain stability. I had to improve that aspect. My Field and stream form Dicks was on sale and about 160 after season. I was in Dicks shopping yesterday and they had not marked down any stands that I could see, but then no one was around of course.
RE is a good stand, I just think overpriced and for the weight was a bear for a couple us to put up on my hillsides, but then it ain’t easy with any of them. Always get kick of instructional and YouTube videos installling ladder stands and always on some flat land. I live in the real world. Use sticks or climber to get up tree and manage attaching stand. Others are better of telling you methods.
Honestly I have 2 ladders and 12 hang on stands in place on my 100. Doubt that will change. Bet you like your stand, enjoy.
No rebuttal comment by me today on shopping at Dicks.

Whats up with Dick's?

They made an executive decision on AR-15’s and now it appears all firearms.

Gotcha. I was not aware. There are no Dick's in my neighborhood anyway. Sounds like they are living up to their name.

Dicks is going politically correct, in the process of replacing the word hunting with the word athletic. Selling $100 basketball shoes must pay better than selling $200 hunting boots.

Doggr, 12 lock ons and 2 ladders on 100 acres....you’ve got it covered that’s for sure! Do you take those lock ons down after season?

Yea its a collection over the years and some were my son’s. But yes I have coverage for wind directions, morning, evening, early season, mast crop or failure, foodplot use or ignore, rut, gun, compound bow, recurve bow. Some are only a 100 yd apart to cover certain time of day based on deer movement. Almost all are set primarily for bow, but work with gun. I seldom will hunt same stand more than once/wk. Most hidden well enough a person would have a hard time finding even if I pointed out general area. I usually can’t find them myself, lol.
In all fairness, they have all produced except one and I’ve seen one deer from it in 4 years. Need to take it down.
No I don’t remove them, too much work. But each spring or summer reset straps and do any repears if needed or move them if needed. One I moved last year cause tree died from disease.
I have lifelines on all them. Have added second strap to stand for stability and safety. Also have a pop up blind I seldom use. Hardly ever hunt fields.
But dang it, I do shop at Dicks. Can’t be perfect I guess. :)
