We Are Marshall

I usually post this each year on my land thread but this year do a little different. This day in 1970, 75 members of the Marshall football team lost their lives in a plane crash coming back home from a game. I lost an older friend who taught me more of how to play football than any other person. If you haven't seen the movie titled as above starring Matthew McConaughey, its a good one.

In remembrance, the opening line of said movie....

“In the middle of Huntington, West Virginia there’s a river. Next to this river there is a steel mill. And next to the steel mill there is a school. In the middle of the school, there is a fountain. Each year on the exact same day, at the exact same hour, the water to this fountain is turned off. And in this moment once every year, through out the town, through out the school, time stands still.”

If the opening line of the movie doesn't sober a person up, then something is wrong with them.

Thanks for the post dogghr. Sorry about your friend but he is still with you in important ways.

God Bless.

Awesome of you to remember this every year Doug. Says a lot about the type of person that you are.
