2019 Live from the Stand

I was home this evening washing hunting clothes and I looked out the window and a real nice 10 pointer I have never seen was in the backyard about 60 yards out. It was too late for a picture with my phone but binoculars showed he looked to be 4.5 yrs old. Looking forward to getting back out tomorrow...
 
My hunt ended on a sour note. It had gotten too dark to make a good shot on a deer at 100 yards or more in that bottom, so I went to gathering my stuff to get out. I took a last look after I had closed the window cover and I saw a big black boar hog walking down the lane about 50 yards away. When I lifted the cover he heard that and boogied !

Blessed is he who expecteth nothing, for he shall not be disappointed ! ;)
 
Back at it this morning. Should be a beautiful quiet November morning. I keep playing cat and mouse with one of my target bucks. Yes seems to always be a step ahead of me. Three daytime pics in less than a week but I'm always at a different stand.
 
Deep in the naked oaks. Very few leaves left on trees after the ice, rain, wind of the past few days. Visibility greatly increased in the woods...Deer Stuffer mentioned quiet describing the November woods but here in crow central I can’t even hear myself think and with a healthy population of all types of woodpeckers including pileated, squirrels, and a paved road through the hills with the echoes that produces I barely heard the 4 point buck sneaking by about 30 minutes ago...no place on earth I would rather be...
 
Want to get some serious stand time in here in the last 3 days of PA early archery. Just settled into an enclosed blind on the back 80, 4 does grazing at 50 yards
