cel phone game cameras

I have a covert black and I've noticed you can get cameras from china for around 1/4 of the price.
now, here is my question can you buy a camera from " china " and get covert for example to send you the little chip for your camera so you can get pics sent to your phone or is there a different way ??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When I run cell cameras, several times I went to the AT&T store and they gave me a SIM card I activated online. Never used any other providers.

So the little plastic card with a chip on it looks like a sad cards.
So you go to any cel phone provider and ask for a sim card and hook it up to your cel phone and your good to go ??

That's not exactly what I said. Different cameras have different technology. For example the Covert Code Blacks I had run on AT&T, I went to AT&T and they provided an inactive SIM card. I went online and activated the SIM card as a pay-as-you-go for the camera. If you're asking me if I would order a random Chinese Camera and try, no, I would not. I ditched the Covert's because they are too problematic, but they had great Customer Service.

I thought all game cameras except Reconyx were made in China or other Asian countries. That’s one reason why Reconyx is $500 and the best of the rest are only in the $100/$200 range. May not be the only reason, but I suspect the main one.

Reconyx and Cuddeback are both assembled in America with US and globally sourced parts. Nearly impossible to build anything electronic 100% USA anymore which is a shame but those two companies are doing more than most.

Words to live by. Show us some pix of your Bugatti. ;)

I know it was a joke but you can see from my posts on here that I’m pretty serious about supporting America and American manufacturing by voting with your dollars. Mississippi has lost 39% of its manufacturing jobs since 1994. My home state has suffered similarly. We should care as much about our fellow citizens as saving a buck on Chinese made crap. The Chinese have responded accordingly, just look at GM or Apple’s sales in response to the trade war. Since globalization failed to lift all boats (duh) and has destroyed the middle class in this country maybe it’s time we collectively reevaluate things. Besides, the Bugatti is in the shop

I didn’t know that about Cuddeback, but I’ve seen so many bad reviews of them I would never buy one. I’d love to have Reconyx cams, but no way could I afford to run 10/12 cameras so I guess I’ll stick with my Bushnells and Brownings and help the Chinese out. :(

I hear ya, not a Cuddeback fan. Really like the idea of their Cuddelink technology though.

not to mention strapping a five hundred dollar bill on a public land tree. I use mid price brownings and have not had one quit me in six years - other than by theft or flooding. I have had a couple of reconyx - I did not find them to be significantly better than a $150 browning. Maybe they would last longer - but I found they are not theft proof or flooding proof, either. For my purposes - I would ten times rather have thirty brownings deployed than eight reconyx
