Dove hunting

Hard to beat a good dove hunt! And shiskabob with dove breast and deer tenderloin about the same size is to GREAAAAT

We always called them dove shoots vs dove hunting. I wondered about that until I went for my first time as a kid. Three boxes of shells and 5 doves makes it a "shoot" alright. I've not been since my early days in West Tennessee. We usually fished a pond between shoots. Good times! I sure do miss it.

My biggest complaint when wrapping them in bacon is that by the time it’s crispy, the dove is way overcooked. I started microwaving my bacon for 3 minutes, then wrapping dove in bacon, cook at 4-5 minutes per side. Dove ends up just done but juicy and the bacon is perfect too.

My favorite time of year! I absolutely love dove hunting and opening day marks the "start of the end" (as my wife says).

As mentioned above, do not over cook dove! It's very good half raw. Does anyone else save the hearts and gizzards?

I put my thumb on the heart and keep it pushed against the breast bone when I tear the rest of everything out, so I’m able to save most of them.

My cousin puts the hearts on a skewer and will eat a whole line of them.

I save the hearts. I also pluck most of my dove in order to save the wings and legs. It's not a ton of meat, but those few extra bites are definitely worth it.

Hello, i think you know about mobile decoys?
Because it is wonderful for hunting. If you want to have more doves
For example, I used madhunt dolls, and it's nice for me.
