Dry weather in the forecast

Well, I’m finally making the long trip to the east coast hoping to get my fall plots in the ground but the 10 day forecast is not looking good. A little moisture tonight then nothing until at least next Monday.

I’ll have a chance to plant Tuesday but could put it off as late as Saturday. I’m thinking Saturday will be the plan as it’s closer to the next rain by default.

Neighbor bush hogged the plots last week, I’ll probably spot spray but don’t intend to nuke everything.

Planted 3 acres of plots last week and they went pretty much a full week without rain. It's worse with trees because you're stuck watering them until they are well-established

I’ve planted 50 fruit trees in the past 2 years, no supplemental water for any of them. Only the strong survive!

I put this in 3 or 4 days ago - spray, throw, mow. Got a long soaking rain last night and still going on today. Forecasted to continue through tomorrow. Hopefully will be okay.

It’s forecasted to rain tomorrow at my place. Problem is the rain won’t be good for the spot spraying I had planned.

I could possibly seed the plots in the rain and skip the spraying all together.

The Tuesday/Wednesday rain event doesn’t look like much. 1/10” maybe...”higher in thunderstorms” if I’m lucky.

How much time between showers does GLY require to be effective? Can it be applied to damp vegetation?

I'm going to spot spray Friday and plant Saturday. No significant rain in the forecast but that's still a long way out.

There is already fall 2018 planted red clover in one plot and spring 2019 red clover in the others. In areas with mainly clover I will not spray. The more weedy areas will receive a dose of GLY.

How long will the fall 2018 MRC and spring 2019 MRC last without termination?

Even though I might not get to hunt this year, I'm still really looking forward to this card pull. I'll update my property tour next week.

You should get at least 2 years out of MRC and if they reseeded heavy, maybe longer?

I wouldn’t plant crap this time of year until the minute it starts raining. Can not count on a forecast between now and Oct 1.

Raining right now and for the next 5 hours. Only problem is I can't spray. I guess that's not the only problem. My neighbor is going to help me put a ton of pellet lime out this week. I don't mind that happening after I seed but now I'll have to wait until Friday to get that done or risk tearing up the wet plots.

Unfortunately I have to plant while I'm here. Being stationed in Hawaii has it's perks but this isn't one of them.

Wow, no confirmed rain in the 10 day forecast. Hurricane Dorian could change that, really depends on how far west the storm moves before heading North.

I’m considering broadcasting heavily and walking away. No chemicals of any kind. I’d rather have “weeds” than nothing.

I hope Dorian brings much needed rain to the mid Atlantic. We have a small creek on the farm that supplies water to a lower pasture via gravity. It is dangerously low
