Lots of future prospects here and maybe one that would be tempting this year. I can't get a good clear picture at this location unless it is night time.

Very nice group of guys in the hood. But let me ask you a question, the strangest thing, why are these boys all trying to climb into that hollow log?

It actually isn’t hollow but a still very solid piece of oak from when the timber was cut several years ago. I started a mineral lick there and give the log a booster shot when I check cameras. I also have a salt block between the log and the camera. All the other deer will walk to the block when they visit but the biggest one won’t. He just loves to stand and lick that salty log.

This is the same location that the old one eyed deer is but he runs alone and is never with this bunch. He will walk to the block too and I get good pics of him.

Nice as usual. Why do you think the one property the bucks are more nocturnal?

Actually I think it is about the same in that regard. They will be out in daylight at both locations but my camera placement is different at each location.

If you look at the times on some of those pics, the dark pics are actually later in the morning than the good color pic. The shade in the woods is making the difference in the pic quality. That camera in the woods is mounted to the side of a tree that blocks the morning sunlight from the camera.

I was just saying that the night pics are better quality with the flash rather than with just a tiny bit of sun filtering through early in the morning. I should move that camera round some and it would probably help.

Nothing gets the blood pumping more than pics of bachelor boys hanging out and you got some fine un's. Great pics! I thought maybe you had slid a few of those apples down in that log.

He's a shooter in my book! An awful lot of grass here? Maybe some clover seed and herbicide would be in order?

If I feel like he is older than 3 this fall, I agree that he is a shooter. When he gets his fall body, we should be able to tell. If he is only 3, he could be a 180 next year.

Yes, that spot is nothing but grass. It's a little lane where they come out of the NWSG field, get a drink in the branch, and then walk the grassy lane into the food plots. About 20 yards from that biggest deer toward the camera is the food plot. That deer in the distance is standing in the water of the branch where they come out of the NWSGs.

We gonna elect Bernie or Liz as president and in the socialist spirit you have to send half of those monsters to Alabama. And that fruit.
You and Okie on collision course for best bucks

If ole Bernie got a taste of a good apple and venison steak it might get his mind straightened out...…;)

I feel guilty, because these are your deer that have come here because of all the loud noise from your chainsaws and other equipment. I'm trying to run them back to you, but they won't leave my log.....

No, I believe that you have created a buck factory which is only going to lead to all sorts of problems, you may have to seek counseling?
