I’m looking for a good 380 to carry. I want a small and light one to carry in my pants\shorts pocket. The reviews on the Ruger LCP 2 .380 seem to be really good. Does anyone recommend any ? I carry a Smith & Wesson M&P Sheild .45 but I do heating and cooling and sometimes when I was on a call it came out of my shirt and some customers didn’t like it so I stopped carrying it. Long story short I was on a install recently and the older gentleman grandson, girlfriend and his buddy was there and they where strung out on drugs it was a very bad experience for me and my helper.

A glock 42 or 43 is light years ahead of a ruger lcp in my opinion. My wife carries a micro kimber which is a sweet little gun as well.

I carry a Shield .40 almost every day, but sometimes you just have to dress a little lighter. The LCP with the right ammo would pull your fat out of the fire, and that's what goes in my pocket if I feel the need.

I carry a Colt Mustang Pocketlite .380. It's a pretty accurate pistol. I usually carry it appendix style, but it could fit in a pocket just the same, especially with a DeSantis Pocket Shot holster to keep it situated just right.

The Shield 9mm is a narrow, single stack that hides well even when wearing shorts and a t-shirt. They have also come out with a new Shield EZ 380 that I would imagine the dimensions are similar.

+1 for the ruger lcp. I use an inside the waist band holster. I am narrow enough it takes a lot of clothes for me to be able to conceal a much larger pistol. The little gun isn't real fun to shoot but it is the gun that you hope you never HAVE TO shoot.

The EZ 380 is actually larger than the standard Shield. Not much, but enough to make a difference-Its basically between the Shield & the new 2.0 Compact.. I would go with the Bodyguard 380 if I wanted to stay with S&W. The LCP & LCP 2 are great pocket guns.

To the OP, I carry a Shield 40, & even being on the ground & moving around in attics, I've never had a problem with it coming out..What kind of holster are you using??

I saw a self defense show the other night talking about calibers and he said he never saw a guy that thought about rape after getting 3 or .22 to the gut

but he could get half way there before he realized that he was dead.
