GLY on Ash stumps?

Tordon/2-4D/Dicamba will all work well too, with Tordon being the best option. Usually your local farm store will have a "brush killer" lots of times its just a mixture of these chemicals, should have instructions for cut stump treatment

Definitely not as well, maybe even not at all (not sure). Tordon would be more likely to work after the fact (I would think) but the sooner the better for sure. Sorry that's not a very clear answer but I really don't know about waiting

I cut down a very large ash couple years ago near my house. Sprayed trunk with roundup heavily, it sprouted anyways, cut sprouts numerous times and resprayed with roundup and brush killer it still resprouts half a dozen times every summer. One day that thing will die lol

we kill lots of stumps that way , but you have to spray with in a couple hours to have the best results

The sooner you can treat it the better. Might want to add a little food coloring if you have a lot of stumps in one area...this will help you see which one you have treated easily and or at a distance. I use tordon mostly and it's already a purple/blue type color. I have heard stories of tordon leaching in the soil however and killing other things... I have not had that issue personally. I have also used straight gly before. Just put some in a container and brush it on or put in a squirt type bottle and cover the entire stump face. I have also used a cordless drill to put a cavity in the stump as well... Lots of ways to do it.

Food coloring or sprayer dye. I'll use gly/diesel with dye. If I wait a few days or more, a spud, spade or machete can quickly nick up the bark ring and still get a good kill.
